Tree house and Ginkgo



Architecture students from Washington University had the opportunity to design their own tree house.
Four seniors created a tree house that was made around a Ginkgo tree, it was about 25 feet in diameter and about eight feet tall. The design was visually appealing for individuals walking through the pathways up the tree, and it also showed different facts about trees, which incorporated an educational aspect.

Project Singing Tree Forest: Ginkgo

Ginkgo Singing Tree – Connected all-white and all-black high schools in Pittsburgh, PA, in a common creative project, served sick children at Pittsburgh Children’s Hospital, low-income students in Peru and Sierra Leone, reached out to teens in Germany, adults from Afghanistan, El Salvador, Nicaragua used as a springboard for conflict resolution training, 800 participants, 2002, Pittsburgh, PA.

Time-lapse video: Ginkgo leaves



This interesting video on YouTube is made by Jim (boywithadolphin) from the UK.
It shows a time-lapse recording of developing leaves on a Ginkgo tree.
